Est. June 27, 1990

Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities of Greater Houston (RMCC) was established on June 27, 1990, in memory of McDonald’s founder, Ray Kroc. RMCC later became known as Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Houston/Galveston, Inc. on September 24, 1996 to reflect a name change made at the National level. RMHC® of Greater Houston/Galveston, Inc. is tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are a separate, independent organization formed for the purpose of providing financial assistance to qualified entities for the purpose of improving children’s health and well-being in the Greater Houston/Galveston area.

Money raised locally, stays local. Our core programs include:

  • Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®: Medical unit operated by Texas Children’s Hospital. Dental unit operated by  UTHealth School of Dentistry.
  • Ronald McDonald C.H.E.E.R.! Room:  located in University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Regional Maternal and Child Health Program clinics throughout the area.
  • RMHC® U.S. Scholarship Program
