Est. June 27, 1990

Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities® of Greater Houston (RMCC) was established on June 27, 1990, in memory of McDonald’s founder, Ray Kroc. RMCC later became known as Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) of Greater Houston/Galveston, Inc. on September 24, 1996 to reflect a name change made at the National level. RMHC® of Greater Houston/Galveston, Inc. is tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We are a separate, independent organization formed for the purpose of providing financial assistance to qualified entities for the purpose of improving children’s health and well-being in the Greater Houston/Galveston area.

Money raised locally, stays local. Our core programs include:

  • Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®: Medical unit operated by Texas Children’s Hospital.
  • Ronald McDonald® C.H.E.E.R.! Room:  located in University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Regional Maternal and Child Health Program clinics throughout the area.
  • RMHC® Hospitality Cart program serving families of critically ill babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hermann Northeast.
