Heroes of the Hearts Breakfast

Heroes of the Hearts Breakfast

Our mission is to find, create and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. We believe that when you change a child’s life, you change a family’s, which can change a community, and ultimately the world. Each year, we directly support programs that touch the lives of over 9,000 children in the Greater Houston/Galveston area who are in need of the services.

HERO HONOREES

David and Alma Winkel are a husband-and-wife team who are both in the banking industry and love to live life full of adventures. They are currently chasing one of David’s childhood bucket list dreams by competing in the world-renowned race – The Baja 1000.  It’s the longest, non-stop point-to-point race in the world and they’re raising $100,000 for RMHC-GHG as part of their journey.  They’re going off-road to keep our RMCM wheels on the road. Join us at the Heroes of the Heart Breakfast on May 23rd to hear why RMHC-GHG is so close to their hearts and the challenges they’re facing to accomplish their dreams, just like the children who benefit from our RMCM services and how David and Alma are making a difference for the children in our community.

Community Partner: David Gutierrez has been in the McDonald's system for over 40 years and has been an Owner for 33 years. He was approved as an owner/operator at 30 years old. His first store was with his father (Paul Gutierrez) as he was a next generation owner/operator in the LA area. They then moved to the Texas.  His first store as a single owner/operator is at 1303Gessner, Houston, where his office is located.   Why does he donate/support RMHC? "I believe in the RMHC vision, and so it's easy to support such a good cause". He said that when he donates his time and money, he knows that it's going to the right thing, there is no question if it's going to a good cause.”

Emcee: Crystal Ayala is the primetime anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Houston, which airs Monday through Friday at 5, 10 and 10:30 pm on KTMD Channel 47.
