We believe readers are leaders. It is our goal to give every child who visits an RMHC® program, a book of their own to help them build their literacy and language skills. For the majority of children visiting our programs, English is not their first language so bilingual children's books are especially welcome.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Houston/Galveston was honored to be a part of the 2019 Bayou City Art Festival Downtown.
Celebrate 48 years of Bayou City Art Festival Downtown, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Houston/Galveston, as we host 300 artists in 19 different disciplines. The weekend festival is a sophisticated outdoor gallery under the iconic Houston skyline, transforming the streets into artistic avenues bursting with color. Patrons can enjoy live music, entertainment, food trucks and food vendors, and a Children’s Creative Zone. Volunteers helped out with arts and crafts at the RMHC booth.
