Ronald McDonald Hospitality Carts

Ronald McDonald Hospitality a la Carte Program

Our Ronald McDonald Hospitality a la Carte program provides bedside amenities and comfort to parents and other caregivers while they remain with their hospitalized child.

Several times a week volunteers make rounds on the Neonatal and Postpartum units with the hospitality cart to provide items of care and comfort to the parents and siblings of hospitalized infants. The cart is filled with complimentary snacks, toiletries and reading material, as well as toys and crafts.

For parents and other caregivers who are reluctant to leave their critically ill or injured child even for just a moment, the bright and cheerful cart is a welcome sight. And the friendly face of the volunteer with the cart reminds families that RMHC of GreaterHouston/Galveston is there to provide comfort during a difficult time.

Sponsor or Donate to the Ronald McDonald Hospitality a la Carte

Sponsors can be recognized on the carts as they round in the hospitals, as well as on this website and through social media. Most importantly, your generosity helps ensure that the Ronald McDonald Hospitality a la Carte is making the hospital stays of families a little easier with snacks, toys, and other items of convenience and comfort.

To learn more about this opportunity, please contact Tiffany Riggs, Stewardship Director at Triggs@rmhcghg.org.

When a child is seriously ill, many families will travel for miles to seek treatment that can last for weeks or even months.

And during this time, children will want mom and dad close so that treatments don’t seem as scary as they often can be.

Ronald McDonald Houses were founded to keep families close, because no family should have to worry about where they can afford to stay, where their next meal is coming from, or how far they are from their child in the hospital. We believe that children heal better when their families are close.

At every Ronald McDonald House, families have access to:
  • Home-cooked meals
  • Private bedrooms
  • Playrooms for children
  • A kitchen area that includes a stove and microwave
  • Shower and laundry facilities
  • And more…
